How to Add Books to Your Kobo Forma eReader With Dropbox

Creating a Gmail or Dropbox account

Get your eReader Attached with the Dropbox

You will receive a code and insert it on the Dropbox website to connect the Dropbox software to your eReader. Until you continue, make sure you have your eReader linked to Wi-Fi. 

On the eReader: 

  1. Go to the home screen.

On your phone or on your computer: 

  1. Go to the Dropbox / Kobo.com 
  2. A ‘Dropbox Link’ screen will be shown. 
  3. Enter your eReader ‘s address. 
  4. Click the Dropbox link. 

Sign with your account at Dropbox or Google

  1. Go to the next step if you have already signed up. 
  2. Click on Sign in Google to register with your Google account. 
  3. To sign in, type in the ‘Email’ and ‘Password’ fields and click on ‘Log-in’ to enter your Dropbox username and password. 
  4. A screen that requests for access is shown. Click Allow. 
  5. An eReader connected to Dropbox will be validated by a post. 
  6. You can see a “Your Kobo eReader now is attached to Dropbox” message in your eReader.

Load the Dropbox files 

You can connect your ePub, PDF, and other compatible files to Dropbox until you have connected the Dropbox service to your eReader. 

Dropbox can add files with: 

  • The Dropbox software (PC and Mac) on your desktop 
  • On your computer or smartphone the Dropbox website 
  • Visit the Dropbox support page for information on adding files to Dropbox using the app. 

To insert files on your computer using the Dropbox website: 

  1. Sign up for your account in Dropbox. 
  2. Click applications.
  3. Click on Kobo Rakuten. 
  4. Using some form below to attach your files to ‘Rakuten Kobo’ folder: 
  5. Drag & Drop 
  6. Shift your data in the middle of the computer. 
  7. Check your computer’s files 
  8. Click Upload and browse to your computer for resources you want to share.

Sync your Kobo eReader 

You need to link your eReader using Wi-Fi to connect Dropbox books to your eReader. 

  1. Go to the screen of your home. 
  2. Tap on the top of the screen, the sync png.png Sync icon. 
  3. Type the Sync button. 
  4. Every new book you have added to your Dropbox account will be downloaded by your eReader.
