How to Delete and Restore Items in Your Kobo Dropbox?

To save storage space, you can remove Dropbox files from your eReader. You can always re-download the file again after you have deleted a file. This method will only remove your eReader content. Your Dropbox account will still include the initial files. You do not see it on your ‘My Dropbox’ screen of Kobo Forma while you are removing a file from Dropbox. Follow the directions below to remove files from your Dropbox account. If you are new to the technology then opt for one of the best Kobo Customer Support and attempt the particular fixes on your Kobo device.

  1. Go to the screen of your device home page.
  2. Tap the icon at the top of the screen for the EPD menu -png.png Menu.
  3. Tap My Books. Tap My Books.
  4. Tap the icon in the gray bar of the windows-actions.svg More.
  5. Remove content in one of the following ways from your eReader:
  • Switch Book management. Select Control. Select and tap Remove items you want to remove.
  • Switch Download Management. Tap Remove all in addition to ‘Downloaded Dropbox Books.’

You will restore it in 30 days when you recently removed an object from Dropbox.

After removing a Dropbox element and syncing the Kobo File, it does no longer show in the ‘My Dropbox’ tab. The element does remain. Follow steps here to restore items that are deleted from your Dropbox account.

  1. Sign up to Dropbox.com.
  2. On the left sidebar, click Files.
  3. In the left sidebar, click Deleted Files.
  4. Click on the file name you want to restore or on the removed folder name.
  5. By clicking on the checkbox icon you can pick growing files or directories at once
  6. Restore Press. Restorations can take time if a large number of files are restored.

Note: Only if you have the ability to edit access can you restore a shared file. You won’t be able to restore it if you have access to a shared file.

After your files have been updated, eReader should be enabled to retrieve the eReader data.

The DropBox and your Kobo Type eReader will stop sharing the content anytime. This ensures your eReader won’t have to import your things from your account ‘Rakuten Kobo’ when you attach data to your Dropbox account anymore. You must stay with your eReader with all books or documents downloaded from the Dropbox, even after the Dropbox functionality is switched off.

To disable sharing Dropbox:

  1. Go to the screen of your device home page.
  2. Tap the icon at the top of the screen for the EPD menu -png.png Menu.
  3. Tap Configuration.
  4. Switch Account.
  5. Tap Sign up with ‘Dropbox.’ A ‘Dropbox Sign Out? ‘The opening is revealed.
  6. Tap Sign out. Tap Sign out.
  7. Your e-Reader won’t download any more books and files from your Dropbox folder after signing up.

You must have to register for your Dropbox account on your eReader to re-setup Dropbox sharing. If there is any issue feel free to contact our superfast Kobo Tech Support in order to restore the normal functioning of your Kobo device.
